I own an Brother-DCP-7060D Monochrome Multifunction Laser Printer. It can scan documents in 3 seconds and print extremely fast with great quality. It is easy to operate. Toner replacements are not very expensive. But I have to learn how to install brother tn420 toner cartridge in the printer. This year I bought a Brother printer, but a month after I used the printer I encountered the replacement problem of toner cartridges. So I learned how to install printer cartridge properly online: first, your printer ink cartridges will last longer if you do not remove your cartridge from the protective wrapping until it's ready for use; Second, the ink cartridge should be placed upright for at least 30 minutes prior to use, which will allow the ink to flow down to the print head and allow any oxygen bubbles to rise up and away from the print head; Third, be sure you've removed the plastic strip from the ink cartridge; Fourth, install the print cartridge; Fifth, run the head cleaning cycle at least one time; Sixth, print a test page to make sure the print cartridges are installed and functioning properly. I just replaced the toner cartridge and the LCD continues to display the message "Toner Low" and the Toner LED is still flashing. Then I verify I replaced only the toner cartridge and not the drum unit since the Brother machine has separate consumables - the toner cartridge and the drum unit. When replacing the toner cartridge, I installed a brand new, unused genuine Brother toner cartridge in order to reset the toner status. Swapping toner cartridges from one machine to another or installing a partially used toner cartridge may cause this issue. Brother machines control their image quality for the most suitable print quality by monitoring toner consumption. If you install a partially used toner cartridge, your Brother machine is unable to recognise toner consumption correctly which will cause this issue. If you install a new genuine Brother toner cartridge but the "Toner Low", "Replace Toner" or "Toner Ended" error indication remains, the toner cartridge may not be installed correctly.
Reinstall the toner cartridge, referring to the instructions on how to replace the toner cartridge. That is how I solved the problem.
